Well it was probably a solid 8 years ago that I met Sam Bianchini, who is one of the best homies around. Right around that time I met his good friend Clint Chambers. So tonight was the big night for Mr. Mulhern, the video premiere that I have been personally awaiting quite sometime for. The line up was sick, Mr. 5boro Jimmy McDonald to Mr Landscape, Rory Milanes. And in that order is how the video started and finished. Jimmy had one of the best parts I can say I've seen this year, and probably the past few years. The entire video start to finish was one of the most well put together videos in a very very long time.

My worries of Mulhern truely creating a Stewart rip-off was not apparent. The video was smooth, good music selections, amazing cinematography, excellent motion graphics and great skating to go along with all of it. The most stand out part tho has to go to Brendan Grandstrand. I met Brendan shorty after moving here, and have skated with him a few times and seen how good he was, but this part is by far worthy of getting him on any legit company out there, and he damn well deserves it. When you get the chance, pick up a copy of this video it is a for sure keeper.

Happy New Years.

So just the two nights ago, I finished up shooting the intro for the video, here is a sneak peak of Justin and myself prepping for a shot.

As you can see above the video is now officially done as of about an ten minutes ago, 5 am Saturday morning. Clocking in at 19 minutes exactly, start to finish, with some of the best damn east coast skateboarding. The video premieres Monday night, after the Focus Show. The DVD will be available soon at any shop that carries the magazine, just like our magazine, the DVD will be FREE.

For all of you waiting for the premiere of In My Neighborhood II, stay tuned to the blog, I am currently setting up premieres for mid-January in Florida.

One Month Glitch

Well as you probably have noticed I haven't updated this in a month.

While I was gone if you checked out the transworld website, you might have seen this, a few things in there that I filmed. Be on the look out for more footage of Rosa in my video which will be coming out with in the next month or so In My Neighborhood II.

If you haven't seen this yet, then you need to. It's all over the damn skateboarding internet, yeah I'm about a week late, but oh well. Malto was in town last week and managed to come up on some footage.

Sweet bs nosegrind were most would sit down.

So lack of updates have been apparent, last week I was with the Ethines crew while they were here in central Florida. Mr. Tyler Bledsoe was ripping and did two of the most impressive tricks I can say I have ever witnessed go down in Orlando.

I have been on some late night missions the past few days trying to film for the video, most nights have been ending somewhere around 4-5am.

Zack, John, and their homie Jake from Undercover came up this past weekend to put in some time towards getting footage. Johnathan came up on a dope trick, and Zack clocked in a good thrity seconds worth of really good stuff. Here is a sequence of just one of the things Zack came up on.

Also putting in sometime both in the bar and out filming in the past few weeks is Caddo. No not Nix. Nix has been here for quite sometime, and barely puts in work. But when he does you can believe its ill.

The video is really starting to shape up. A few quick short leaks to get a feel on what people thing of it have shown very positive feedback. Lack of having a car makes me feel like I am light years behind on this project but it still looks like mid April premiere. Stay tuned for updates.

Well if you are of any importance, or are under a certin list of contacts in my phone you got a text from me. Thats right people we are putting a deadline in place. This shit is offical. March 31st is the deadline for all submissions for In My Neighborhood 2. I know that it was a year ago that I put out a trailer for it, and I'm actually regreting that now, because a I had to trim back a few fools and swap them out with some people that had to pick up their slack. The line looks damn amazing now, I might get around to cutting a new trailer for it, or you might just have to wait for the March/April issue of Focus Skate Mag to find out the final line up. A rough edit right now puts the video around 22 minutes.

Well I should probably be writing a term paper right about now, but hell what fun is that, it's Wednesday and its time for a WACK KID WEDNESDAY.

Coming up with new material is getting harder and harder, not really though. So this week I will bring you a wkw that none of you would have ever of guessed. Me.

Why not? I have thrown everyone else under the chopping block, so isn't it my turn to put myself on the stage.

Where do we start.. ok right here. So I write these blogs making fun of anyone and everyone, with no thought to how they affect people. Makes me pretty damn wack right? I've made little girls cry and boyfriends pissed off. I am a true fucking asshole, I don't along with nearly anyone, I dislike just about everything about skateboarding anymore, from the way people push, to the whimsical tricks people do nowadays. I make fun of people and I dont even know what I am talking about, cause I don't wear flannel and slap John on the ass after he lands a trick.

Fuck I really need to get with the times. Oh yeah and by the way that $8,000 camera with the fish bowl on the end of it, damn why did I spend my money on that. It is a complete fucking waste, you know I am not gonna go anywhere in filming skateboarding. I'm just striving to be Josh anyways.

Shit we cant forget about photography skills, shit has anyone seen them lately. My photos look like Little Tykes my first photo. I got a few thousand dollars worth of photography equipment and don't know a damn thing about it, right Mikey? Mazur you can contest to that too, right?

Oh fuck and what about how I look. I am a dumpy motherfucker. Uglier than a cow's ass just after taking a shit. Oh well, thats what they make tons of plastic surgery for right? I'll just put it on the black cards seeing I have soo much money too.

So its been a while since I have updated. Why not come back with a bang. I think this will probably be post of the year in my books.

The following is one of those things, like putting your dog to sleep, you hate to do, but you have to.

So let me start you off with this.

God where do we start with this? She must have really thought she had me with this one.

Well it all depends on how you look at it, I simply saw an ex boyfriend of yours, Manny, who is a friend of mine and all I said to him was that I saw your ex girlfriend the other day, and that I chilled with her. I also said its kinda funny how she is almost following in Danielle's footsteps, considering Danielle dated Sean Conover, and him (Manny). Talking shit not really, just pointing out the facts.

"For one thing I'm not following down Danielle's path or whatever the fuck you think I am doing, BECAUSE I can go and get it with ANY SKATEBOARDER IF I WANTED TO RIGHT NOW. I AM FRIENDS WITH ALOT OF THEM AND I'VE NOT GOTTEN WITH... I'VE GOTTEN WITH MANNY, HAVEN'T HAD SEX WITH MANNY OR DONE ANYTHING WITH MANNY and Manny is still my best friend and I've date Sean."

Well anyways on to the stuff that no one really comes here for.

The Euros got on a plane last night to head back home, to the land of marble ground and benches. It was one hell of a month hanging out with those dudes, good times here are a few photos from the month spent here.

Trips to Stuart and the ER

So Monday start off by originally planing to head to Jacksonville but instead I took the Euros to Ft Pierce to skate the golf course. Then I decieded it would be a good idea to get John for a day to come to Orlando. Thats when the fun started. We stopped at some random gas station in the hood of Ft Pierce and come across this Ergo sticker.

Then we got back to Orlando and called it a night. John and I met up with the Euros after I got out of class and went by Nix's house to pick him up to skate. A good sesh went down at the ramp, photos to come later. We then went by the infamous Puleo spot, where Mr. Poppa Damron ollied up and then backtailed the 3 stair. John wanted to get quick with it and ollie up ollie up the three stair and then ollie the 8 stair, which anyone who has ever been to the spot knows is damn redicilous. So first try John ollie up ollied up again and rode down the three stair. Next try as I'm getting the camera up John ollies up ollied up again the three stair except he clipped the top of the stair and did a complete front flip down the stairs on to the last stair. In the ten year of skating with John I've never seen him in so much pain. We had to head over to the ER where we sat for a good 5 hours. The final verdict is a pretty damn good bump on the head, a brusied ass palm, and a bursied vertibray. John is all good and should hopefully be back on a board in a few weeks. After the ER we sat at Nix's house and drank beer and made fun of people, good times.

John and I found this quite funny after sitting in the room for 2 hours with nothing else to do but make fun of stuff.

The special edition Wack Kid Wednesdays unforinately will be pushed back a week due to this. But it will be good, I promise.

On the road again

So came back from ATL on Monday morning around 4 am, and haven't had a chance to update, since I have had a lack of a minute to sit down and update this. Monday was spent in Daytona, Tuesday in Cocco, Wednesday was Tampa, and yesterday was Ocala. Tricks have been going down. here are a few photos, and screen grabs.

Well this week should be good. I am pretty sure that anyone who knows this next kid, will agree that he qualifies.

I have only had to skate with him twice, thankfully. He will talk more in ten minutes, than you have in you entire life. According to him, "You gotta peep his footy cause, he nollied the convention center whatever in Tampa." Meinholz once grabbed this kid around the neck and I thought was going to beat the living shit out of him. He thought it was a good idea to cut a rail out of a perfectly good spot, just to skate the stairs. A few years ago at a Mesh contest I think it was Espinosa who tko'd this kid in the parking lot.

Oh yes folk, we are talking about the infamous Vladi.

I don't think I need to say much more, I think you guys will probably do the rest.

For those of you who don't know, I didn't either, I was informed this by a good source, he was featured on some camp woodward show on fuel tv, as "Tony". The kook in the middle.

Well, the weekend has come and gone. Good times. I'd tell you who I skated with, but according to Scott Q I'd just be name dropping. So oh well. In the mean time does anyone have any clue as to why in the hell over the past ten years our goverment has dropped 583 million dollars into this shit?

Scarry shit. Something that could potentially end the world, and we the USA put that much into it. Now think about that 583 million dollars, you could buy everyone in the world a big mac and a coke for that much money.

Well sorry for the two week glitch. Had to tend to school work instead of the blog.

Anyways,
Well this weeks Wack Kid is by popular demand. I have had many requests for this one. He is a good friend of Reese Forbes. He claims to own the number one skate shop in Vero Beach,(because its the only skate shop in Vero), the shop was seen on MTV's Made.(which probably made prices double) His shop is home to the biggest goon in Florida. The shop was originally supposta be in a mall. His body is a mural for some of the worst tattoos known, I've never seen a world industry wet willy flame boy battle tattoo that resembles a smurf and woodstock until seeing his.

He is a person at one time I can honestly say I liked. Thought was a cool dude, and could skate damn good at one time.

This is someone who goes out of their way to make things harder for other people. Calling up reps bad mouthing them about other shops. This is the same guy who once had Nike, but now is rebelling against them, because he got caught selling kicks on Ebay , and got his account taken away. He shows up at 8am at your local skate park to sell items at cost, just to be a dick to try and put other shops out of business. If you support skateboarding, like your website says "we support and sponsor skateboarding as a way of life" then why the hell would you try and put another skate shop out of business, when they are doing exactly what you are claiming to do? I've never heard of a game of skate sponsored by New Blood, or $500 best trick by New Blood.

Former Team Rider David Perry says " Lewis is wack ".

Enough said? NO.

I think a lot of Lewis's dislike stems back to his childhood growing up in Ft Pierce and surrounding areas. From what I have established through interviews with various skateboarders who grew up with him, he was always the tag along. The kid who no one wanted to be around. He has been known to throw fits at skate parks.

It's always good too if you have so called "select or limited" goods in your shop. Mark them up as high as you possibly can. Remember you can only get these select and limited goods from him. Don't forget their limited edition version of your sisters pants. They have the shop name embroidered across the back of them. And remember we have to show up to the skate park and win the demo. Its never to go for fun, gotta win, and always let your presence be know in every way possible, wheels, boards, shirts, pants, hats, stickers, whatever.

Sorry for the delay folks. I have been tied up doing stuff. This week's wack kid is another fool from the Jups. From Kalis to wanna be Puleo, he has fallen victim to the un orignal trend following fools category.

Two years ago, he was pulling up to spots listening to Guru's Jazzmatazz, now he pulls up listening to your typical Shins or Modest Mouse cd, because that is what is cool now. Sell your fitted hats, wife beaters, and hip hop jeans and dunks or adidas, get your cordorys out and put on our v necks. Can't forget the Van's either. Forget your friends who stay true to how they skate and dress, gotta start skating with kids who look like you now. Trade in the VX1000 and pick up a Twin Lens and start shooting black and white photos, and remember no color, because color means happiness, and you are not happy, you are the scenster of skateboarding now, sad lurks everywhere you look.

You think its alright to make out with another dude, all your new friends are doing it, plus it's so you can see two chicks make out. You go out now looking for spots that you would not have skated two years ago. Spot searching now consists of look for pole jam wallrides, cellar doors, things with roll up doors in the background. Anything that makes your footage look urban. Don't forget, ledges are no longer cool now, unless you are doing the most whimsical thing you can think up of. Lipslide nosegrind, to manuel, whatever it doesn't matter as long as it falls into the whimscal category. No more nollie crooked grinds, you replaced that trick with wallrides and pole jams.

You have replaced O.E. with bottles of Arbor Mist and Miller Highlife. You got a blog spot now to post all your artsy Black and Whites. Can't forgot the mohawk once every few months either. You get pissed off now when you show up to spots and there isn't a curb to ollie up before it. Remember, you have to be able to make a run out of something that could have been a single trick, find that damn curb, even if it means you pushing from Jupiter, to Southern Blvd, Wang don't mind filming it.

Wanna thank O'Con for forwarding this one to me. Lets start by saying I actually had someone else lined up for this one, but unfortunately it will have to wait. I am completely flattered that someone has nothing better to do than this.

So how do we start this one off? Most unoriginal, unborn chicken head, american apparel v neck wearing. This is why you qualify for me kicking your ass into the ground, knocking out all your teeth. Look at yourself you fag.

Straight dudes dont rock gear like this or act like this, no matter what.

I know where I come from and my friends, if we were caught rocking gear like that you would get your ass kicked. You don't even rock shit like that to a Halloween party. Hopefully this kid never rides for any legit companies ever again, if he does I will for sure forward these photos to who ever it is. I could honestly write a small book about reason why I dislike this kid, but I leave it at this. I have better things to do.

Weekend Warriors

Hope everyone had a fun and safe weekend. On a random note add Joe Perrin the the injured list with a fractured foot. Get beter soon homie, and buy his video LAST OF THE MOHICANS to help him with his medical bills. Anyways , the past weekend was looking quite dim to start, Ryan Dodge made the trek up early Friday afternoon and we made it out to skate and our session was cut short due to rain, but not without Dodge filming a trick and a run. We planned a trip up to Daytona the next day, we had Russ come up and join us, along with Sam Bianchini and Fred Tan. It was pouring down rain all day Saturday in Orlando but we made the trip anyways with hopes of Daytona being better. Lucky enough it was drying up when we got up there, just in time for us to start skating. Didn't shoot one photo the whole time I was there. Too busy filming the minute and a half of footage theses dudes came up on. Heres a little preview of images.

Probably one of the best weekends in a long time. Tons of skating. Almost got arrested for skating but managed to get out of it. The cop asked what we were doing in "his" city, a small town north of Daytona, and I explained to him that I shoot photos and film for a living, he then asked me for a business card, but I didnt have one on me and he made a smart ass remark. He then told me if I had a way to prove to him that I did this for a living he would let us go scotch free, but if not he was arresting us. Long story short thanks to Fred never cleaning his car out we luckly had a copy of Focus in the car, and I basically can for once say, one for us, zero for the cop. Surpisingly he was a man of his word and let us go.

While on the subject of Focus check out the new issue in shops now. Josh Dowd has a proper Switch Front Crooks on the cover, there is a solid Last of the Mohicans interview with Joey P, and tons of 561 coverage in this issue. Check it out, See you fools Wednesday.

I havent been slacking on shooting photos or filming, but I have been slacking around this place. The lack of photos I could put on here is high, but its good because I will have some stuff that will be published in the next issue. Lots of news is stirring up around John Clayton, big things in the near future for him. Keep a look out for the updates here.

Check out the newest blog on the block. And if you thought my spelling was hard to read, now you can benchmark it against a 7th grader that can pull women old enough to be his mom.

Orlando's own Bert Wooton, will debut as Organika's new AM, at Surf Expo.

Bert and I went out shooting over the weekend, and he got a pretty intense sequence. Keep a look out for a Organika ad that might just have my name down as the photog who shot it.

Last of the Mohican's will be hitting shops as early as next week. You can get it through most distributors or through Joe Perrin's Website.

Looks like the east coastin' trip should be a go as long as fools can get money.
